Activities

Project design and implementation

The activities of the project will comprise three extended phases: (1) Preparation; (2) Implementation; (3) Evaluation and Dissemination. During Phase 1, we will develop and pilot-test the intervention, which will be based on state of the art knowledge in existing guidelines and will include educational and experiential components. In addition, during this phase a website with all the information on the project will be launched and a network will be developed for the implementation of the intervention. During Phase 2, the intervention will be implemented in approximately 140 students (20 per country, 10 disabled and 10 obese), 18-40 years old, irrespective of: sex, religion, origin, economic or any other social criteria, students from all participant universities will participate in the program, Overweight and obese male and female students (intervention), Disabled students (intervention), male and female students with normal weight (control group). Finally, during Phase 3, the effectiveness of the intervention, but also the project will be evaluated, and the outcomes of the project will be fully disseminated.
